Sabrina Ahmed
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Sabrina Ahmed is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach for processing and healing from traumatic experiences. As a trauma-informed clinician, my approach aims to help clients address current concerns while guiding them to explore the deeper, root causes.
She graduated from the University of North Florida with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and currently provides therapy services under the supervision of Petergay Sterling, PMHNP-BC, LMHC-QS, EMDR and Adam Tharkur, LMHC, NCC, MCAP, CHT, QS(FL).
Sabrina is passionate about providing compassionate, comprehensive care rooted in multicultural competence. She draws on her diverse background, including studying abroad in England and co-founding a nonprofit organization that empowers Muslim women and girls, to connect with clients from a variety of backgrounds and lived experiences.
Outside of the therapy room, Sabrina enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and connecting with family. Her approach is holistic, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when people feel seen, respected, and supported.
